The aim of this document is to define all components and processes necessaries for the onboard data acquisition and processing, data pre-processing and data processing validation that will be needed to perform the software reengineering.
This report also introduces a methodology for WADI data reliability after its post-processing, based on a combination of Sentinel images and a water pathway model. This reliability layer provides additional confidence to WADI image processing and supports the application of the WADI performance matrix.
Finally, this document presents the best practices for data file formats to make the documents and outputs of WADI accessible to others at a later time and to promote their interoperability among diverse platforms and applications. Metadata recommendations and metadata standards are also included to clearly describe data produced during the WADI project.
