Société du Canal de Provence

The Société du Canal de Provence (SCP) was established in 1957 by the State and local authorities to build and operate a hydraulic system to overcome the Provence of water scarcity which limited its development potential. 

SCP is a public company, with 85 % of its equity capital held by local authorities in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Its mission is to develop and manage regional water resources, in order to provide a safe and reliable water supply for agriculture, industry and domestic uses. With nearly 60 years of experience in managing water, hydraulic and environmental projects, SCP is ideally positioned to provide public and private organizations with turnkey consulting and engineering services, both in France and worldwide. SCP has strong credentials in over 40 countries in the fields of water development, management and engineering, as well as in operation and maintenance of hydraulic infrastructures.
